The City of Stevenson, Washington, is recruiting for a Utilities Maintenance Worker.  This position works under the Public Works Field Supervisor to perform a variety of public works and customer service duties.  The Utilities Maintenance Worker will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing the city’s water and sewer utilities, streets, parks, and equipment.

The City of Stevenson is looking for a dynamic individual that has a passion for providing exceptional customer service.  Acting as the first line of response to the public, the Utilities Maintenance Worker must have a strong background and interest in troubleshooting problems; have collaborative decision-making skills; be independent, self-motivated, and a team player; be energetic and positive with a can-do attitude; and have strong communication and public relations skills.

 

Experience and Education:

Requires graduation from high school, receipt of a GED or equivalent.  Also requires living within thirty (30) minutes response time of the city, the ability to work independently and possess, or have the ability to acquire within eighteen months, a commercial drivers’ license. 

 

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Annual Base Salary of $56,843 to $74,802, depending on qualifications and experience, plus on-call and overtime pay
