Public Hearing Notice

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the City of Stevenson in the Council Chambers, located at 7121 E loop RD, Stevenson WA, 98648, on April 16, at 6:05pm.

CDBG General Purpose Grants are available through an open cycle application process to assist eligible Washington State small cities, towns and counties in carrying out community development projects that principally benefit low- and moderate-income persons. The Washington State CDBG Program receives approximately $11 million annually from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

The purpose of the public hearing is to review community development and housing needs, inform residents of the availability of funds and eligible uses of the state Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), and receive comments on proposed activities, particularly from lower income persons residing in the Lasher street area.

Up to $2,000,000 may be available to Stevenson to fund community facility, public facility, infrastructure in support of affordable housing, housing rehabilitation and microenterprise assistance projects that principally benefit low- and moderate-income persons.

An outline of the proposed projects will be available for review at the City Hall, starting on April 6th, 2026, or at the City of Stevensons website. Comments may also be submitted in writing to the City of Stevenson by April 15th, at 1pm.
