Cascade Village to Elementary School Concepts

Project consists of developing a Capital Improvement Program (CIP) to incorporate into the city’s Comprehensive Plan. It will include street, stormwater, water, sewer, undergrounding of utilities, and other public projects. Phase 1 of this program is to amend the city's Comprehensive Plan to a) enshrine expectations for coordinated capital facilities planning and b) set level of service standards for capital facilities. Phase 2 of this program is to create and annually update a Capital Improvement Plan document for public review.

Status Updates

October 2022 - The City Council held a second public hearing and reading of the ordinance to amend the comprehensive plan, adding in a Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Ordinance 2022-1187 and the initial plan were adopted and are available below. The CIP will be updated annually in conjunction with the 6-year Transportation Improvement Program and the information will be hosted on a separate page.

March 2022 - The Planning Commission is reviewing a comprehensive plan amendment related to Phase 1 of the project.

June 2021 - Staff is meeting weekly to move this forward. More information will come from the Transportation Study and the project timeline may change.
