July 8, 2022 - Substantial Completion was issued this week!!  Thank you neighbors and travelers for your patience with the construction.  Crestline did an outstanding job navigating the challenges associated with this project.  The City is excited to be able to extend sewer services up Loop and Frank Johns Roads!  Stay tuned for our next phase of sewer mainline extension and let us know you are interested in getting your home connected - email Info@ci.stevenson.wa.us

June 10, 2022 - Only paving and punchlist items remain!  E Loop Road will be closed overnight from Tuesday June 14 through Wednesday June 15th.  Expect single lane closures on Frank Johns Road.

June 3, 2022 - The past couple weeks were productive and exciting for the City and for Crestline.  Crestline completed their sewer mainline and lateral installations and completed testing on the pipes (pressure and video verification).  They also repaired sections of the sidewalk and driveway approaches which were impacted as part of the construction.  Next week they prepare for paving and striping efforts by sawcutting the pavement and completing any last repairs to adjacent structures.  Traffic impacts will be minimal next week, with single lane closures as needed.

May 20, 2022 - Crestline finished their mainline sewer system this week!  Next week they will focus on a process called "channeling", which is physically creating the conveyance channels in the bottom of a manhole to move effluent from one pipe, through the manhole, and into the downstream pipe.  They will also work on repairing and replacing concrete sections of curb and driveway approaches impacting by the project.  Traffic impacts will be minimal next week, with single lane closures on Frank Johns and Loop Road.

May 13, 2022 - A corner was turned this week, as Crestline left Loop Road behind (for now) and concentrated on laying sewer up Franks Johns Road.  Manholes, laterals, and mainline went in this week.  Crestline expects they will finish laying sewer early next week and fall back to begin their final paving of Loop and Franks Johns Road.

May 6, 2022 - The stormwater replacement is completed!  Hurray!  Crestline jumped back over to the sewer main line installation, as well as completing multiple laterals this week.  Next week we expect to see them "turn a corner" onto Frank Johns Road and leave E Loop Road behind, until they are back for the final pave.

April 29, 2022 - Crestline spent the week installing stormwater pipe and manholes.  Next week they will jump back onto sewer line installation.  Due to the additional work required, the full closure period is extended through May 13.  Thank you for continuing to adhere to traffic control instruction and devices.  As the project moves into the Loop Road and Frank Johns intersection, expect to see flaggers and experience wait times up to 20 minutes.  We appreciate your responsiveness and your patience.

April 22, 2022 - The City currently had projected replacing older stormwater infrastructure along E Loop Road during a street reconditioning project in Summer 2023.  With the heavy rains experienced last week, inflow to the project site from the failing stormwater system caused, in part, trench side slopes to fail widening the roadway area of impact.  The City issued an emergency change order to replace stormwater pipes and catch basins for much of E Loop Road.  Crestline was creative in their management of the situation and has adjusted their work plan to accommodate this change in scope.  Thank you Crestline!  These unforeseen challenges did require two emergency overnight closures of E Loop Road.  We appreciate the patience and understanding of the community effected by this change to our traffic control plan.  Next week Crestline will replace a portion of the stormwater system in addition to continuing to extend the sewer mainline along E Loop Road.

April 15, 2022 - Even with the snow and rain early this week, Crestline continues to make progress laying pipe, completing two laterals as well as a length of mainline sewer.  Next week they anticipate reaching the intersection of Loop Road and Frank Johns Road, and will install another manhole before continuing up Frank Johns Road with their sewer.  We appreciate everyone's cooperation with the traffic control detours, and dedication to continuing to facilitate safe working and traveling environments.

April 7, 2022 - Crestline began laying pipe this week - hooray!  Due to unforeseen subsurface conditions, East Loop Road will remain closed during working hours, 8am to 5pm, Monday thru Friday, through May 6th.  Local, school bus, emergency services, pedestrian, and mail access will be continue to be provided.  Next week Crestline will continue to install mainline pipe.

March 30, 2022 - Crestline milled the pavement in preparation for mainline trench excavation along E Loop Road.  They also potholed at utility crossings to confirm depths to avoid potential conflicts during trench excavation.  East Loop Road will remain closed during working hours, 8am to 5pm, Monday thru Friday, for the next week. Local, school bus, emergency services, pedestrian, and mail access will be continue to be provided.  Please be cautious when driving through the work zone during active construction and after working hours, as there may be some asphalt millings on the roadway.  Next week Crestline will continue to work on trench excavation and mainline pipe installation.

March 24, 2022 - Crestline is staging material in the County Rock Creek yard.  They have been putting up Traffic Control signage - to be unrolled on Monday, March 28, 2022 and able to direct travelers safely through the work area.  East Loop Road will be closed during working hours, 8am to 5pm, Monday thru Friday, for the next two weeks. Local, school bus, emergency services, pedestrian, and mail access will be continue to be provided.  We are ready for Road Work Ahead!

March 17, 2022 - Pre-construction Meeting was held on Tuesday, March 15, 2022.  City, engineering, and construction staff coordinated on schedule, traffic control, mobilization, and construction methods.  Contractor, Crestline Construction, is currently mobilizing equipment and materials.  Next week they plan to continue mobilization and begin staking.  Contractor schedule currently shows on site work commencing on March 28, 2022.
